The quality of your life is the quality of your relationships -Anthony Robbins
The Raymond A. Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville was awarded a five year grant by the US Department of Health and Human Services to provide healthy relationship education to adults and youth in the Louisville area. By collaborating with the eight Neighborhood Place sites in Metro Louisville and the Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) Program of the Jefferson County Public Schools, approximately 864 adults and 450 at-risk students will participate in this program over the next 5 years.
The curriculum for adults, Within My Reach (WMR), is a cutting-edge approach to promoting healthy relationships among economically disadvantaged individuals. The youth curriculum, Love U2: Communication Smarts is an innovative program that teaches essential communication and conflict management skills that teens can use in all their relationships now and for years to come.
