Brooklawn provides residential services for boys between the ages of 5 and 18 with emotional and behavioral disorders.  Brooklawn provides IMPACT PLUS services to include coordination, TCS services and outpatient therapy.  The organization has a contact with DCBS to provide in-home family skills training for families residing in Jefferson County.

Services include:  Individual Counseling/Therapy, limited Outpatient Therapy, Recreation/Youth Development Programs, Educational Advocacy & Support, Family Therapy and Life Skills Training all as part of the residential program.

The Cabbage Patch Settlement House Christian, independently funded community center that exists to empower families and children to be self-sufficient by helping them maximize their spiritual, social, emotional, physical, moral, economic and educational potential. For over 93 years, The Cabbage Patch Settlement House has helped Louisville's disadvantaged children and youths eliminate the boundaries of poverty and ease the trials of growing up in the inner city. The organization has been dedicated to the empowerment of families and children, so they can be self-sufficient and successful as they grow and develop.  Membership is free.  For adults to receive services, their child must be active in recreation. 

Services include:  Long Term Care Management for adults with needs;  Couples/Marriage Therapy, Domestic Violence Intervention/Services, Individual Counseling Therapy, Recreation/Youth Development Programs for ages 6 to 16 years of age, Crisis Intervention, Educational Advocacy & Support, Life Skills Training, Relationship Education Programs, Social Services.  All services are offered to active clients.  The organization does not normally accept outside referrals due to limited resources.

CCDC is a faith based non-profit entity whose mission is to promote social and economic empowerment in distressed communities. 

Services include:  Employment Services (Workforce Readiness Program), Recreation/Youth Development Programs (after school program for males 8-14 years old); Project H.O.P.E. for youth 14-21 who are struggling academically or have dropped out of school. Education Advocacy & Support (GED & ESL programs), Life Skills Training, Workforce Readiness Programs, Business resource network for self-employment and budding entrepreneurs.

The Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) provides family support, and child care assistance along with child and adult protection.  The department also assists in securing child support for families. DCBS determines Medicaid and Food Stamp eligibility, provides low income households with a means of meeting their home energy needs, and provides weatherization services to help lower energy bills.  The department runs the state foster care and adoption system and recruits and trains parents to care for the state’s children while they wait for permanent homes.

Having offices in every county, DCBS’s goals are to provide services to enhance the self- sufficiency of families as well as improve the safety and permanency for children and vulnerable adults.  Families and community partners work together in a collaborative decision-making process.

The mission of the JCPS Adult and Continuing Education program is to provide adult education services for adults age 16 and over who are not enrolled in a K-12 program.  There are over 60 locations with 4 large comprehensive centers.  The programs operate from 8:00 am to 9:00pm Monday through Thursday with office hours at the central office from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.  Occasional Friday and Saturday services.

Services include:  Immigrant/Refugee services, ESL, Relationship Education Programs (family education program), Educational Advocacy & Support, and Life Skills Training, limited Workforce Readiness Programs, Adult Basic Education – Literacy, GED, ESL and tuition based short term skills training.

Agency aims to serves the community to strengthen families and individuals regardless of race, creed or national origin. 

Services include: multi-cultural programs, family, individual and adolescent/child counseling/therapy, couples/marriage therapy, post divorce parenting program, visitation supervision, domestic violence intervention services (non-perpetrator), employment services, services for immigrants/refugees, support groups, crisis intervention, life skills training and relationship education programs.

Maryhurst serves primarily children, youth and families with severe emotional and behavioral disorders.  Most services are for youth who need residential treatment.  Many clients are referred to Maryhurst through the Department of Community Based Services (youth are in custody of the state except for those served in the after school/summer programs).

Services include:   Foster care, Recreation/Youth Development Programs (after school and summer program for Middle School youth from Meyzeak, Newburg and Western Middle Schools).

Y.O.U. is a workface development program that serves out of school youth ages 16-21.  The central mission of Y.O.U. is to help prepare at-risk youth for entry into the work.

Services include:  Educational Advocacy & Support, Life Skills Training Therapy, Relationship Education Programs, and Workforce Readiness Programs.  Other services include free GED instruction, Employment services to include career counseling, job placement advising and enrollment into WIA training programs for qualified applicants.  There are also incentives for qualified participants.
